However, like any software, Outlook isn’t immune to issues. Just as your files can easily become corrupted, so can your Outlook profile. This usually happens when you've switched versions of Outlook but your profile did not update. Sometimes when a user tries to search in Outlook, it either returns incomplete results, or returns nothing at all, even if you can see the email normally. Most times, this is caused by a corrupted search index, which you can rebuild.
The app might refuse restore Outlook functionality to launch or crash at the splash screen. Sometimes, antivirus real-time scanning can slow Outlook down. Configure your antivirus software to exclude Outlook files or processes from real-time scans to avoid interference. The good news is that Outlook has a built-in tool to scan for corrupted files.
